MycoKeys recognises 2023’s most cited authors and most active editors

Three years ago, MycoKeys decided to start an annual award initiative to recognise our most cited authors and most active editors. With this, we aim to support the work of the people behind our journal and acknowledge their talent and dedication.
This year, we will give vouchers for a free publication in MycoKeys to the three lead authors of the best cited papers published in 2020 and the three most active editors in 2023.
The winning authors are:
1. Qin Yang for Three new Diaporthe species from Shaanxi Province, China (34 citations)
2. Yong Nie for A taxonomic revision of the genus Conidiobolus (Ancylistaceae, Entomophthorales): four clades including three new genera (31 citations)
3. Wan-Hao Chen for Morphological and phylogenetic characterisations reveal three new species of Samsoniella (Cordycipitaceae, Hypocreales) from Guizhou, China (29 citations)
And the winning editors:
- María P. Martín (8 tasks)
- R. Henrik Nilsson (7 tasks)
- Huzefa Raja (7 tasks)
We appreciate the contributions of every author, editor, and reviewer that we work with, and extend our gratitude to all our readers.
